How to Stop Paying Rent

Rent is getting expensive. Some would argue that America is becoming a renter nation. The younger generation would rather rent an apartment than deal with the responsibility of owning a house. The new American Dream does not involve cutting grass, landscaping, or fixing a leaky faucet.
That said, in my personal opinion, the house-buying process has lost some of its fun. Think about it: the last 3 or 4 years have been nothing but bidding wars and super-inflated prices. I personally have three friends who abandoned their home search because the going was so tough (they did not use me as their realtor, by the way).
It’s pretty nuts when you think about it. They would rather keep paying a landlord’s mortgage than own a personal asset, all because the market is too competitive.
Well, I have news for you: there is always a workaround. Take a look at the home in the picture above. Notice anything unique? The brick? The garage door?
What’s unique about this place is it never hit the market! No sign in the yard, no Zillow listing. My team and I prospected in my client’s ideal neighborhood until the right home appeared, and they were thrilled. Why is that? Let me tell you:
* They were the only offer.
* They got the house for less than appraised value.
* They got to pick their ideal settlement date.
* They got the home inspections they needed.
* The seller made $2,000 worth of upgrades for them.
